MANILAphlboss, Philippines — Seven in 10 Filipinos trust the Philippine Air Force (PAF) and are satisfied with their performance, a commissioned survey conducted by the OCTA Research group found.
The survey, which ran from Nov. 10 to 16 and was commissioned by the PAF, found that 73 percent are satisfied with the performance of the country’s air force.
It was composed of 17 percent who said that they were “very satisfied” and 56 percent who were “somewhat satisfied.” Only two percent said they were dissatisfied, while 25 percent were ambivalent.
In terms of trust, 75 percent said they trust the PAF, composed of 16 percent who said they had “strong trust” and 59 percent who “somewhat trust” the air force.
Only two percent distrust the PAF, while 24 percent said they cannot say if they trust the organization or not.
They are also joined by Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr., Deputy Speaker David “Jay-jay” Suarez and Committee on Transportation chair Romeo Acop.
“We trust your office will prioritize this matter and act swiftly to protect the integrity of our nation’s legal and economic systems,” the lawmakers said in a statement.
The OCTA group said the poll is part of its broader study on the country’s security sector.
It earlier released a similar survey on public perception of the Philippine Army, where 78 percent were satisfied with the Army’s performance and 77 percent trust the organization.
